Fangs Out
Fangs Out is the open tournament, the one day the whole field comes out swinging. Everyone who earned a seat over the season, in a single bracket, fighting for the last 12 spots in the Titan Cup. No name carries you here. You earned in, now show your teeth.
How you earned in
Every seat in Fangs Out was earned on the circuit. Finish top 3 in any tournament and you qualified, and since you only qualify once, those seats rolled down the standings all season to the next players who hadn't earned in yet. Nobody bought in and nobody was seeded by MMR. Everyone in this field put in the work.
Claim your seat
Earning in is not the same as playing. You have to claim your seat to lock it.
Hundreds of players earn in across the season, and the field caps at the first 128 to claim. More players qualify than there are seats, so lock yours early or watch the field fill without you.
The format
One Swiss tournament. Everyone plays every round, no early exits.
The field decides the length. Fangs Out runs six to eight rounds of Swiss depending on turnout, and win or lose, you play them all.
The top 12 advance to the Titan Cup. Ties break on Buchholz, so a hard road counts in your favor.
You've earned in. Now show your teeth.
What's at stake
The top 12 here join the top 4 from the circuit to form the 16-player Titan Cup field, the season finale. Survive Fangs Out and you are one bracket away from the title.
And Fangs Out pays its own way. Twenty places take home a share of the pool:
